Run by the Indiana Criminal Justice Institute. Crime scene cleanup and the replacement of damaged windows or door locks are eligible expenses for crimes that happened on or after 1 July 2022. Up to $15,000 may be available for one injury or death, with a further $5,000 toward funeral and burial costs. The crime generally has to have been reported to police within 72 hours, and the application filed within two years. It pays last, after insurance and other sources.

A nonprofit law firm giving free civil legal help to people on low incomes, in every county in the state. Useful for landlord and tenant disputes, security deposits, housing conditions and benefits problems. Apply online at any time, or by phone Monday to Thursday, 10am to 2pm.

Investigates neglect, self-neglect, exploitation and abuse of adults who cannot protect themselves because of age or disability. Severe hoarding is sometimes a safeguarding matter rather than a cleaning one. Indiana is a mandatory reporting state, meaning anyone who suspects an endangered adult is required by law to report it.
