How Much Does House Cleaning Cost in Columbus, Indiana?

This is the question we are asked before any other, and the useful answer is not a single number. Two houses of the same size can be a long way apart on price, for reasons that have nothing to do with square footage. Here is what actually moves the figure, so you can work out roughly where you sit before you ever call us.

What actually drives the price

  • Size, counted in rooms and bathrooms rather than floor area alone. Bathrooms and kitchens take the most time per square foot of anywhere in a house.
  • Condition on the day we arrive. A home that has been kept up needs less than one that has been waiting a while, and that gap is usually the single biggest difference between two quotes.
  • How often we come. Recurring visits cost less per visit than a one-off, because there is less to catch up on each time.
  • Which level of clean you want. The jump from a recurring clean to a deep clean is real work, not a label.
  • Extras such as interior windows, inside the oven and refrigerator, or descaling a bathroom that has hard water build-up.

The first clean usually costs more than the ones after it

This surprises people, so it is worth saying plainly. Most homes start with a Deep Clean or a Turnover Clean to get everything to a known state, then move onto a Standard Clean on a schedule. The first visit is the expensive one. After that the price settles, because we are maintaining a result rather than recovering one.

The five levels, briefly

  • Light Cleaning. A quick reset between deeper visits: surface dusting, light vacuuming, tidying.
  • Standard Cleaning. The recurring service most homes book. Full kitchen, bathroom and living space work.
  • Standard+ Cleaning. Standard, plus interior windows and locks, the inside of the microwave, and descaling where it is needed.
  • Deep Cleaning. Appliance and cabinet interiors, degreasing, descaling and window tracks. The catch-up clean.
  • Turnover Cleaning. A full reset of every room for a rental changeover or a property handover.

White Glove is priced differently

White Glove starts at $1.00 per square foot and is booked for a whole property, never room by room. That is not an upsell rule, it is what makes the guarantee possible: at the end your household gets a pair of cotton gloves and checks the work. We cannot stand behind that on a property where we only cleaned half the rooms.

Why we quote a firm price instead of an hourly rate

You get a written price after a free assessment, and that price is what you pay. We prefer it that way because you can plan around it. An open-ended hourly figure leaves you carrying the risk of a job taking longer than anyone thought, and we would rather carry that ourselves.

Paying for it

Invoices are due within 24 hours of the service date unless we have agreed otherwise in writing. Cash, Zelle and check are processed at face value; other payment methods carry a 4% service fee to cover processing. Any booking over $500 takes a 50% deposit to hold the dates. For larger jobs, Afterpay lets you split the cost into instalments.
